This October, I swapped the city skyline for a tapestry of autumn leaves in Vermont, and let me tell you – it was pure magic! I kicked things off with a couple of days in Woodstock, a charming town that felt like stepping into a postcard. Then, I ventured north to Waterford, where the views somehow got even better (if that’s possible).
The trip was packed with stunning hikes, starting with Groton State Park, where I hit the trails at Peacham Bog and Owl’s Head – both a visual treat and a workout in the crisp fall air. I even managed to fit in a visit to the Autumn on the Green festival in Danville, a perfect blend of local flavor, crafts, and autumn spirit.
To top things off, I crossed over to New Hampshire’s White Mountains and tackled the Arethusa Falls hike. Those views! With every step, I felt like I’d stumbled into a painting. Vermont in fall has a way of making you feel like you’re part of nature’s own art show – and I soaked up every colorful second!
